*New* Johnny Kingdom's Alaska Bear Adventure

Johnny finally gets to do something he has always dreamed of doing – going to film the Grizzly Bears of Alaska! As a boy Johnny used to catch salmon with his hands in the streams of Exmoor, just ‘one for the pot’ of course. Now he gets the chance to see up close how the experts, the bears, do it on Kodiak Island, Alaska, filming with a BBC4 crew for a Christmas special. This is Johnny’s own account of the trip. Not content to just see the largest brown bears in the world, Johnny also takes time to film sea otters, whales and seabirds and takes part in some fishing himself.

This is Our Land

It’s been over 6 years since Johnny and Julie Kingdom acquired their 52 acre plot of land on the edge of Exmoor. Revisit the land with Johnny to see the changes that have happened and meet the fantastic wildlife that now lives there.

Join Johnny as he tries out new camera traps to reveal the goings on at night and also films a bird he has longed to capture, the pied flycatcher. Not forgetting great footage of wild boar, red and roe  deer, badgers mating, lots of birds and, another first for Johnny, tawny owls in the nest. “What do want prettier than that my friends!”

Johnny Kingdom has a new challenge, to film Wild Boar! Join him as he attempts to follow their lives over 6 months.

Wild Boar are very shy so Johnny is over the moon when he captures some fantastic intimate footage of a mother and her young in daylight. This rarely seen animal is also joined by some old favourites including Fox Cubs, Roe Deer,Badgers and Snipe.

To celebrate his BBC Autumnwatch appearance, Johnny has made this new film about Exmoor’s famous red deer. Share in Johnny’s adventure and see him in action during the rutting season as he films an amazing fight.
